Forecasts
For manufacturers and brands involved in the construction, installation, and home improvement markets, clear forecasts are the foundation of successful strategies. Given the complexity of these markets, however, their future may seem rather opaque, and reliable forecasts are hard to come by.
Luckily, our continuous research does not only allow us to provide insights into the status quo of the construction, installation, and home improvement markets. Using our results and nearly three decades of experience, we can provide a peek into future developments in these markets as well.
Using architects’ insights to forecast construction volumes and trends
Our most successful forecast model is part of our oldest monitor research, the European Architectural Barometer. Architects are excellent indicators for developments in the market, as they are positioned at the very start of the construction process and are generally influential throughout.
Their insights and order book developments, combined with other indicators like construction permit figures, consumer, industrial, and construction confidence indicators, employment figures, and GDPs, form the basis of our forecast model.
Over a decade of proven track record
For more than a decade, USP’s forecasting model has built up a reliable track record of predictions with a high degree of accuracy. Compared to other institutes, USP’s forecast has proven to be very close to the realised construction volumes as reported by Eurostat in recent years.
How can our forecasts help your business success?
In every quarterly report of the European Architectural Barometer, you can find the updated results of our forecast model for predicting construction volumes. But we can provide much more than that.
Our on-the-shelf knowledge of the development of indicators in the construction, installation and home improvement markets is available to enrich the results of dedicated market research with insights into the future of the market you operate in.
