MILLENNIALS TONEN VEEL INTERESSE IN SMARTHOMEPRODUCTEN

European Home Improvement Monitor Q1 2020 – USP Marketing Consultancy

Interesse in smartproducten voor

tuinieren is beperkt De smarthomecategorie waarin consumenten momenteel de meeste interesse tonen is verlichting. Van de Europese consumenten geeft namelijk 14% aan van plan te zijn om de komende 12 maanden te investeren in smarthomeproducten. Daarna zijn de categorieën beveiliging (11%) en verwarming (10%) het meest in trek. De interesse in andere slimme categorieën is lager. De interesse voor deurcommunicatie (7%) en zonwering (7%) is ook aanwezig, terwijl de belangstelling voor slimme producten voor tuinieren beperkt is tot 4% van de Europese consumenten.

 

‘Bespaar energie’ en ‘maak mijn leven makkelijker’ zijn de belangrijkste drijfveren

 

Om consumenten te overtuigen om de smartproducten te kopen, moeten leveranciers en detailhandelaren de voordelen benoemen die het meest resoneren bij de consument. De belangrijkste voordelen die consumenten zoeken in smarthomeproducten zijn ‘energie besparen’ en ‘het leven makkelijker maken’. Anderzijds ziet de consument ook barrières om deze producten te kopen. De hoge kosten worden het meest genoemd als barrière voor het kopen van smarthomeproducten. Daarnaast vreest men dat de producten te ingewikkeld te installeren zijn en de hulp van een professional nodig is.
