BIM usage amongst European general contractors/builders
Smart buildings and products are a vital tool, amongst other things, to make buildings more efficient. With the increased speed of the sustainable transition and the current geopolitical situation, one would think that the share of HVAC companies in Europe involved in smart building installations would increase strongly. This is however partly true.
In the European mechanical installation monitor the topic of the Q3 2022 report was smart buildings and products. One of the key outcomes of this study is that, compared to 2019, a significant increase of the share of HVAC installation companies is only visible in the UK and Germany.
In all other countries the share of installation companies involved in the installation of smart building products remained more or less the same.
