The report is based on a representative sample of contractors, with companies with less than 5 employees being excluded. This research is conducted biannually with the reports covering different key marketing topics like media orientation, BIM, prefab, sustainability and many more.

Customers from the UK (38%), Germany (35%), and the Netherlands (35%) are the most willing to invest into sustainability among other European countries.

  1. How can sustainability adaptation be increased in the construction industry, according to contractors?

One of the most important drivers to increase the use of sustainability, sustainable products and sustainable services is creating more awareness, more knowledge and clarity. This is also one of the most important aspects that contractors expect from building material suppliers: educate the market (especially in the Netherlands, Belgium and France).
